It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Joseph Klinger announce his passing on March 10, 2026, at the age of 62. He passed away with his wife and daughters by his side. Bob was a devoted husband, father, papa, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years, Janice; his daughters, Ashley (Daniel) and Larissa (Brett); and his five grandchildren, Jayse, Deklan, Parker, Bobbi, and Bria, who brought him endless pride and joy .He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon (Sinclair) Piller; Beth (Ralph) Halls; Gloria Rundle; his brother, Doug (Shelley) Klinger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his father, Emil; his mother, Norma; his brother, Arnold; his father-in-law, Mervin Little; and his brother-in-law, Brent Little.
Bob was born on May 21, 1963, in Hardisty, Alberta, to Emil and Norma Klinger. He and Janice were married in Camrose, Alberta, where they raised their two daughters. He spent much of his life working in the oilfield, forming lifelong friendships along the way, and was respected and loved by his colleagues and rig buddies. Bob worked as an oilfield consultant, a career that reflected his dedication, perseverance, and strong work ethic.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching hockey with Janice. Above all else, he was a proud and loving Papa Bear who cherished every moment with his grandchildren. Behind his tough exterior was a kind and loyal man, with a jolly sense of humor and a heart that touched everyone who knew him.
In his final days, Bob was surrounded by the love of family and many lifelong friends who came to say goodbye—a testament to the friendships and connections he built throughout his life.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date. His memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared, and he will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.
