Lynn Dwyer

Lynn Dwyer, born on May 28, 1948, gracefully departed this world on August 23, 2025, at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Terry, and a caring mother to her daughter Cathy (Garry) Weiss from Spruce Grove and her son Robert Gilhooly of Edmonton. Lynn's family was her greatest treasure, which included her adored grandson, Travis Gilhooly, and her precious great-grandchildren, Emilia and Mila Gilhooly.

Lynn was known for her vibrant spirit and her endless love for life. She found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was a trip to the casino or a coffee chat with her dear friends. Her gentle demeanor and warm smile made her a beloved member of her community, and she cherished her time spent with her coffee crowd, always ready to share a laugh, a story, or a moment of kindness.

Lynn's commitment to giving back was evident in her volunteer work and her role as treasurer for her church, where she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to helping others. She is fondly remembered for her unwavering support and compassion, values she embodied throughout her life.

The family extends special thanks to her neighbor Phyllis, whose support was invaluable during trying times. They would also like to express gratitude to the dedicated staff of the U of A Hospital and the Grey Nuns Hospital for their ongoing compassion, commitment, and care, allowing Lynn to feel cherished and respected during her journey.

Lynn leaves behind her loving sister, Sharon Robb, who will carry her spirit forward. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the fortune to know her, and her memory will live on through her family and friends. As we reflect on her life, let us honor the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Lynn Dwyer will forever be remembered as a loving wife, an inspiring mother, and a cherished friend.
